Homeschool Co-op

Co-ops Involve Co-Operative Teaching

What is a co-op?

Co-op stands for co-operative teaching.

Homeschooling parents bring their students together and each help to teach them in groups.

What is involved in a typical Co-Op Day?

Worship time: Members sing a few songs together, followed by a short time to pray for each other's needs or share.

Biblical Worldview Class: These classes are designed to help young people understand faith at their age level and encourage them to stand strong for Jesus in the world.

Lunch: A place for families to socialize and get to know one another.

Afternoon: These time slots are filled with Elective and Academic classes, which are different each year.

When does the co-op meet?

The Co-op meets every Thursday from 11:30 am. to 4pm.

Where does the co-op meet?

The Co-op meets in Matthews, NC.

What are the ages served?

The Co-op currently has students from Preschool through High School, in multi-grade age groups such as Pre-School, Elementary, Middle, and High School groups.

Co-op includes an End of Year Celebration with a Graduation Ceremony for Seniors available each year.

How big is the Co-op?

We like to keep the group intentionally small and have around 15-20 families participating.

What About Graduation?

An End of the Year Celebration takes place every year with an included Graduation Ceremony for High School Seniors who have been a part of our group for at least one year.

Are there any other activities?

There are field trips, service projects, and prayer days offered periodically for family involvement.

There is also Weekly Math Tutoring, and Writing Class offered before the Co-Op begins for an extra donation.

May I stay with my students for the day?    Or, may I drop them off for the day?

You may choose to stay and enjoy the community or drop off if needed. Contact the Director by text at 704-219-4650 to discuss an appropriate plan for your family.
